Fabien Hyafil, MD, PhD, FESC, is a Senior Consultant in the department of Nuclear Medicine of Bichat University Hospital in Paris. He earned a Medical Degree from the School of Medicine of Paris and is board certified in Cardiology and Nuclear Medicine.

In 2013, Dr Hyafil joined the department of Nuclear Medicine of Prof. Schwaiger at Munich and worked at developing new cardiovascular applications for PET-MRI. Since 2015, he has been back in the department of Nuclear Medicine of Bichat University Hospital as Senior Consultant in charge of Nuclear Cardiology.

Dr Hyafil is Vice-Chair of the Cardiovascular Committee of EANM (European Association of Nuclear Medicine), member of the Executive Organization Committee of EANM, Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology and Board member of the European Society of Molecular Imaging. His main fields of research are atherosclerosis imaging, myocardial perfusion with rubidium-PET and the detection of cardiac device infection.

Dr Hyafil is a recognized European specialist in nuclear cardiology, particularly for imaging of myocardial ischemia with rubidium-82. He conducted a clinical research study in 300 patients and greatly contributed, with his clinician colleagues in Paris and Nantes to the writing of the clinical protocol of Naogen Pharma.
